Real cricket starts tomorrow, with the 1st Test (Lords) .. tickets almost sold out ..

Eng 2.06

SA 4.3

Draw 3.65

Not that many non-rain draws here .. and no rain forecast. SA heavily depleted, and, I think Eng are just the wrong price.

I would have them, 1.6x.

The draw looks a good lay to me.

Day 1 was fun ..

Trying to make a learning experiance of this.

I had a view, 2.1 Eng was too big. 14 of 17 tests at Lords, won by team batting 1st. SA had Eng 77-4 .. and u could lay 2.38 SA. Maybe that was a decent entry point.

Anyway, at COP, Eng 357-5 ..

Eng 1.58

SA 9.2

Draw 3.75

Pitch looks full of runs .. would look to load up on draw (to trade, at bigger prices).

Draw 4.1

Sadly didn't load up and so watched as a bystander the afternoon draw spike....... but did catch a few moves in Essex Surrey in the evening!!! Tom Curran was clutch in the final over. Surrey were still 1.8 after he removed Bopara and changed the outcome.

Also Megarain in general do you most of your Test match trading in the first 2 innings with time on your side? Or does it depend on the situation?

Don't answer if you dont want to!! Just trying to pick up some pointers as the cricket liquidity is drawing me in....... :)

I trade all days, but find days 3-4, can be the most static.

Usually, days 1-4, will return 2-8% on turnover.

Day 5, can be 2-20%, depending on the fluctuations/weather.

The market can be v funny. Traders would have spent 20hrs +, trading a game, and can take some weird prices, at the latter stages of a game.

Not seen a tie yet .. thou once laid one .. at 8/1 .. seen most other stuff.

Prices moving on the test match (Eng drift, draw come in) due to weather uncertainty. From what I can see some weather sites have conflicting forecasts for today with a range from <5% to 45% chance of rain today. My gut feeling this early is that we get a full days play today.
Monday is more suspect with showers forecasted in the afternoon so the result may hinge more on when the new Eng captain declares today to give the Eng bowlers a chance of forcing a result.

Pretty odd session ..

Eng 280-8 net

Eng 1.46

SA 3.8

Draw 18

Eng win, but expect the odd twist.

A crazy 63 for 7 in that session, SA look to have blown the draw out of the water.

Still advantage to England. Tempted to use draw profits to back ENG.

Will keep my powder dry for now and refrain from backing ENG at current price. Might reconsider if price drifts.

Wonder if anybody can advise me of the best sites for live updates on the cricket. I'm trying to gather some market data through this current Natwest T20 series and I'm particularly interested in getting the result of the toss as early as possible so I can monitor it's impact on the markets.
Thanks.

the toss is always done 30 mins before the start weather permitting.

best looking at price 35 mins out and then again 25 mins before the off.

As for the fastest website I would have thought each teams offical website/ twitter page or
