Green 5/3 ?
Not sure I understand why it would green 5 / 3
and why the Trade Profit column is so out of place.

Looks like if I don't use the following rule highlighted in bold, it will green up more than 3 times. Odd.

On the green up rule adding the condition 'Amount of matched bets condition' - selections lay bets are equal to following fixed amount £0 will do that. Though im not sure why you would need to in the situation you have described above as it wont be greening anyway if the liability is exceeded

Liability question,

Is it better to set a rule as 'Fixed odds condition' or just rely on the software main setting?

If use the main settings, I get this in the log:
8/31/2017 21:01:41: [G_Auto] : Your liability would be £21.00 which exceeds your maximum liability setting of £10.00.
And I do not if I set it as a rule.

Once you have greened up / part greened up the lay bets will = more than £0 therefore it will stop triggering

The liability in your main setting is a safety feature in case of a miss click, this should not be used as a staking method but instead always be set well higher than you may need to lay or green up at otherwise you get the problem you just highlighted in your log.

Thanks.

I have now managed to amend the bot to green up if profit is > 10p and red up if it's greater than -25p.
That's working very well in practice mode.

Now, I've seen trades while not in practice where the profit/loss dropped to -73 and went all the way back up to something like 20p within 30 seconds.
So, with my red up test >-0.25p this gets hit quite a lot early in the trade, therefore I green up too early missing on the occasional bounce back. I need to tweak this, any suggestions?

I'm starting to understand a bit more about the Profit/Loss.

In this trade, the lay value was higher than the back one = profit
Screen Shot 2017-09-01 at 21.49.52.png
and in this one, the opposite = loss
Screen Shot 2017-09-01 at 21.49.43.png
My trades by the way, real money there, no practice mode.

I might be barking at the wrong tree here. But is there a rule I can use to influence the above, as in for example make sure the lay is always above the back?

Due to low liquidity in the greyhound market, is there a rule I can add to let's do something like:
if volume is lower than £250 six minutes before the race, then skip it.
This is to avoid placing bets for nothing really. In practice mode this evening, a race with a volume of only £7, the bot was trying to place bets, it went on and on and on... that counts against my Tx value.

You can use the volume condition on selection > 500 pounds

thanks, but which rule type should I pick please?

Edit:

I'm still having issues with the rule not greening up correctly and I do not understand why this is happening.
Any help will be appreciated

ok, I need to get my head around this really. I might be missing the obvious :? .

I have in my lay rule (and nothing in my back rule):
Fixed Odds condition | The selection's Lay price is less than 6

My understanding is that as my maximum stake is £2, if the lay odd is 6 that would be £10 liability. So in theory the bot should not try to put lay bets on odds above 6.

I have in the main setting, as you already have explained nicely a maximum liability of £12 (safe guard).

So how is the following possible?
9/2/2017 14:41:47: [G_Auto] : Greened up 5. Baineann Si Leat by Laying 2.03 at 5.9
9/2/2017 14:41:47: Your liability would be £16.04 which exceeds your maximum liability setting of £12.00.

Where does the £16.04 comes from?

With a £12 liability cap you are not going to be able to green up the following types of bets

9/2/2017 14:41:25: [G_Auto] : £ 2.00 Back bet placed on 1. Donegal Dubh at 9. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10102 ( Fill or kill bet with 10 seconds delay. )

aaaaaaahhhh, I think I got it, the liability isn't just for lay but also for back  (learning mode...lol)
So I guess I need to add a condition to my back rule, something like:
Fixed Odds condition | The selection's Back price is less than 6

edit:
that seems to have fix it, thanks Dallas again.
will do more testing, but that's good so far.

I tried it selecting backing the fave 2 dogs instead of rows 1 & 2??

At times though when odds change it can sometimes fire on the 3rd fave too.

Using £1 stakes on last 25 races last night it finished £5 up and last 4 hours of racing tonight finished £8 up.

Using rows 1 & 2 can sometimes bet on an outsider, has anyone had any success with this?

Thoughts guys.
