Does anyone know the reason for this drift? I was watching the video but nothing happened to send it out like that
Looks like it only took about 3 grand to push it out. That's little more than the action of a single person who, it would appear, was a shrude judge of how ordinary that horse was. If the drift was due to an event that everyone could see I'd have expected a much bigger drift. That also explains why it came back to where it was... Nothing had happened except for someone hoping for, a getting, a decent payday.
If it was a single player I would expect the market to move several ticks in one go?
Probably so, I didn't look at it in much detail. Just pointing out how little money is involved in these things sometimes.

Nice, I remember this horse from when Vicky Pendleton rode it a few years back

This type of 'ski jump' market move is becoming increasingly common.

Let's hit the ski slopes again. Notice how the initial move is always in the opposite direction to the 'real' move. And notice how often the same trainers keep repeating this hobby. And notice how often they win from massive intial prices.

I've never tried ski-ing, but I think I might take it up.
