Yesterday’s WTA Madrid final confirmed what the last few months have suggested.

Kiki Bertens is top 5 quality on clay. She was 50/1 a few weeks ago for the French Open, she’s now less than half that now.

She looks well capable of upsetting a few of the more notable contenders.

Outstanding match and one of my best Clay results of the season
Are you trading potential breaks? And from the chart it would appear they've happened.

Y, I try and position myself ahead of these to capitalize on the upswing while being exposed to little downside, last night everything just kept aligning over and over

Regardless of today's result between Thiem & Zverev, in 16hrs time they square up against each other again in a 1st rd doubles match of the Italian Open!

Y, I never opened a position although that's not totally surprising

At least we go straight into the Italian open this week, so last chance to polish off them bots ready for the Roland Garros in 2 weeks :)

I expect she'll fired up given her 1st round exit from Madrid and she'll certainly want some match time ahead of RG

Love listening to the on-court coaching...when its in English! Matic just brought on her female coach..& gave her hell..shes' getting murdered by Svitolina. Went like this: Coach: U must make more of the opportunities.
MARTIC: What opportunities??!!!...what match are you watching?!!! Coach...lamely.. well..those that are there.
MARTIC: She's murdering me out there!!! Coach retires looking crestfallen. I think male coaches are different class for the women.. they are always sooo positive...give good advice..which often is immediately translated into positive action. Also body language. You can always tell how close they are:..Close: A couple of slaps on the outer thigh ..& a c'mon..c'mon as they depart. Not close: A hand slap..or nothing. Love it!! (BTW for anyone who is PC...i am defo NOT!! (Coaches not allowed on in GS..but watch Pat Cash with Coco sometime..he's brilliant with her.)

If Zhang hold's her serve here could just see a wobble from Osta in this first set
