Can I create a rule whereby the bot will back my selection in a race, ONLY if it is the Betfair favourite a few seconds before the off?

Yes you can

First, you will need a 'set/modify signal' rule type to set a signal on the fav

Then on your back bet rule add a 'set signal' condition to test if the signal you created above has been set

Thanks for your reply, Dallas. I've had a go at this but I'm totally new to it all and I couldn't get it to work properly.

If possible, can you post a screenshot of the rules required?
