Amazing how Newbury have managed to get all the runner to start 5 minutes before the off for the last race of the day when it is home time for all the staff!

5 to 10 minutes late off all day and then surprise surprise last race of the day is 30 seconds late off. Joke!
I know, it's so frustrating , it's about time the BHA started fining courses who continually go off late with no excuse. Newmarket, the so called home of racing, act as if they're some American course going off whenever they please.
I was once given privileged access at Newmarket 2 years ago which included a trip down to the start with the starter, one of the things I asked him about the loading and going off late etc - his response was that they really try to get them off on time and that there was even an unwritten contest goes on between starters all over as to who could get their races off nearest to post and that it was a matter of real pride to them to do so!

Of course you wouldn't think it when you watch them!

Are you sure you didn't miss hear him? It is a contest as to who can get away with going off latest more like

Guessing Newmarket didn't win last year - didn't they have a race go off over 30 minutes late for no reason last year.

These massive field maiden races in Ireland always seem to go off within a minute of post time. I never see loading problems over there.

it’s amazing how this evening is so different from this afternoon, opportunities seem much more clearly presented

both the early part of the chart and the rapid drift from 3.8 to 4.5 were very odd, shame it didn't run

Those rapid drifts are becoming commonplace, sometimes I don't even see a counter reaction in another horse.
