Cape Islay in the 8:05 Nottingham hit me, went from 5.5 to 7 in the blink of an eye just before the off, didn't see it playing up entering the stall so god knows why the layers came out in force.

The 'sensible' option would be to take the loss but as we all know, sometimes the move corrects itself and goes back to where it was previously.
Be interesting to see if there is any data out there that shows % of runners going back to the previous price after a spike.

During last winter it happened many times to see mountaintops: horses that would go up in price massively and in a few seconds, only to correct back down heavily soon afterwards.
During this summer I’ve only experienced horses that spike up and stay there or thereabouts.
Perhaps the more seasoned traders could tell us whether this is a recurring winter/summer theme.
