After a night in Australia I really feel I'm back down to earth trading these markets!

I'll be honest, I thought the markets were poor today, devoid of life. Later markets picked up a bit but I had switched off a bit by then.

Its over rated

I like the Australian racing on a Saturday so make the effort to do that but will then take it easy the next few days.

I wanted to send you a PM earlier but you have them turned off, no prob if you don't want them but thought I would mention it in case you didn't realize they are switched off.

I've had a look at my control panel but I can't find anything that says it's switched off or how to switch it on?

Hi Dallas,
Serious question from a relative newbie; why would you wish to avoid PA races? :-)

A 'PA' race is a race for purebred Arabian horses. they are very different from thoroughbred horses, therefore, they have their own races which are lower profile and attract a lot less liquidity

The 'sensible' option would be to take the loss but as we all know, sometimes the move corrects itself and goes back to where it was previously.
The sensible option? This is why I lol @ psychology - especially when it's branded around by traders who have a meticulous quantitative understanding of the market *cough* Peter *cough*

It's all about knowing the right thing to do, given this information

What's the right thing to do when the back bet spikes the short fav 10ticks? What's the right thing to do when a lay bet spikes the 3rd 20 ticks? What's the right thing to do when the fav spikes down 2 ticks?

Peter would know those answers - so there's no excuse for us not knowing

If someone doesn't know those answers, I think it's extremely unfair (& wrong) to blame their psychology.
