Big congrats to all the Pool fans on here. Quite a few (football-)knowledgable ones as well; now there's an oxymoron if I ever did see one ;)
My feelings on a few specifics aside, it's hard to think of a more worthy champion team in recent memory.

As an aside, Danish media is - again - running a story on Pool's Danish throw-in coach. In the usual small nation style of trying to make it just a tiny bit about us  I did find it interesting once they mentioned a few numbers, which just goes to show that the devil's in the details in modern football and that you dismiss stats at your peril. In 2017-18 Pool had a retained possession after a throw-in of just 45.4% of the time, which was 17th in the PL. When the throw-in coach arrived that number changed to 68.4% in 2018-19, which was not just tops in the PL, but second in all of Europe only behind a Danish team which the same coach worked with. With the number of throw-ins in a match, it's a great spot from Klopp as an area primed for real improvement, and it comes out to a fair few extra times you get the ball to Mane and Salah!

Just browsing the website between races and found this beauty:

https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/f ... .170781221

One of the most pointless and random markets I've ever seen on Betfair and thats saying something

It's a shame there's no relegation market on the Bundesliga. The Fortuna Dusseldorf and Werder Bremen scenario would have made an interesting trade over recent weeks

Saw lots of complaints on Twitter. Can't be that difficult to put the only live tv match in the UK in play can it?

Peter you must have a theory why this kind of thing happens?

It can't be just down to one persons incompetence can it?

It more or less is. Betfair used to have an ops team that would manage markets by watching them. But bless old Breon he thought they were pointless and so trashed the lot and replaced them with third party automated management. You can get away with that on betting sites, but not the exchange as the punters on the exchange are much sharper.

I wonder how much they pay to do that job. I could do it remotely whilst trading, and I'd never get caught in-play. :D

Just going through the weekend's footie trading. I run some automation on the over/under 4.5 goals. Needless to say it was out of some of these pretty sharpish.
