Euler's just bragging now.

He tested a bot for a few days, now he's going to let it run for a month without checking on it
Oh to have so many successful bots that one can afford to have new ones that only get a monthly review.
It's just part of the process. Come up with an idea that looks promising. Make sure you can replicate the theory on a bot then let it run without looking at it. If you intervene you will prejudice the results. So I'll look at it in a month and see if it has done what I expected.

I don't doubt you or your process. Its just that 99% of my 3 day wonder files have turned unsustainably sour by week 2.
I look on with admiration and envy.

And how many 3 day flop files have you abandoned? ;)

That was my 32nd profit on the trot at Rosehill. :D I was quite lucky in the last, the fav moved violently up in the last few minutes but I just happened to be on the right side of the move.
Incredible numbers. What rough % of races did you win over the period?
Interesting question. I've just run a query on my database and found for the year, I'm 62% winning markets for AUS, just 54% for GB. I don't even remember trading German racing but it appears I'm 100%, making 35 pence on just one market. :D

Well done! With profits like that you could take the rest of the week off. How much of it was manual/automated?

With figures like that you could buy yourself a programmer, before you know it you'll soon have a dozen and be calling yourself a syndicate.

Seriously nice results though rik, you usually only see numbers like that on the mystery receipts you find in your pocket when you wake up with a massive hangover. "£110 for a taxi! I don't even remember getting in one!" :D

If anyone is using the data from here
https://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/prices

I've just realized that the volume and price data (except BSP) is wrong for Australia. They base the morning data off of GMT... which stuffs everything up (specifically the prepost data is less than the morning data, and morning data = IP plus prepay (mostly))

Desperate big backer appears to have changed tack (unless its someone else) and is instead putting smaller bets in but smashing it in relentlessly

There are lots of data errors in those files such as Place prices shown as Win prices for some races! I download them monthly and always examine them for obvious price errors that I check/correct using Trueform. As an experiment calculate the Book %ages of some markets historically.

First profitable month on BF ..ever...had a shocker of a last few days though. ...trying not to let it knock my confidence. The mind games in one's own head (as said by every successful trader ) in this domain are amazing  .I am trying to lean on a few years of martial arts training to achieve mushin while trading. Not easy :D
