how on Earth is trump still in contention?
-catastrophic (bleach drinking) corona tag on him.
every single day a new scandle that would have wiped out any other president !
It may be that the Americans are sufficiently intelligent to know not to take his comments, like that one, literally. He was simply saying that maybe a solution would be to flush the virus out of the system [like a bleach]. But outsiders jump on it and say "what an idiot" when maybe that role should be reversed! I read an overview of his comment by a qualified practitioner in the UK who said that is just how some medical practitioners will chat among themselves. The problem may be that he used 'in-house' terms (probably because that's how he cribbed it) in an 'out of house' environment.

The Dems VP Market has been a wild ride - which is great, some really massive swings.

Kamala Harris and Susan Rice are the favs, but maybe Biden pulls an out an unknown.

All I know is I'm all green now and can sit back and contemplate Thurs AM in Aust with a good result.

If Harris wasn't a black woman there is no chance she'd have been picked, seems to be completely against Biden and the views of the left - strange decision.

It's quite crazy really, if Harris was white they'd say she was more right wing than Trump but the media and lefties can't get enough of her

You're correct on the first part. The second part is just politics imho, not lefty politics.

Sarah Palin says hiya ;)

As usual, a powerful speech from Barack Obama.

He's the best orator I've ever seen. Amazing the contrast with Trump. Just a shame it's mostly pointless guff; just like his presidency.

I've listened to a quite a few speeches from this list - https://www.americanrhetoric.com/top100speechesall.html

And I'm always drawn to these two from Ronnie:

Well over those 4 days did the Democrats actually come up with any policies or was it 'vote for us cos we're not trump'...embarrassing.

If half the electorate don't really agree with your policies why remind them of it when you have something else that you can agree with them on.

Didn't work in 2016 though, seems they are going for the same approach
