Hi folks,
There seems to be no delay on bet submission using the "in play trader" in practice mode. Would LIVEversion perform differently?
thanks

When you do, (if you're not already doing so), make sure you use 20ms speed and not the default 500ms. (tick use exchange streaming). Also set the dynamic connection tuner to between 3-8 to synch with your internet set up.
Then the drop down "refresh every" box (in global settings) gives you all the speed options you need. It's worth saving the setting along the way so you don't have to keep altering things.

Practice is just to test that your triggers/system are working etc.
But your bets are not in the market, so others can't react etc.
I had a system which worked fine in practice mode but was a disaster in live.
You would be better using live with minimum stake sizes. Also don't forget BF will block your account if you keep place practice bets without every now and then using live. If that happens then you will have to pay £299 for getting it unlocked.
It is Betfair who impose delays on ALL in-play betting, even if placing them direct on their site - there is no avoiding them
it varies depending on the sport for horse racing it's 1 second (2 seconds if your bet is below the £2 minimum)

It's practice mode not a strategy test mode.
No system which doesn't pass trades through the Betfair matching process can possibly simulate that process accurately.
