Do you think the forum should have rules on topics and content or should it be a free for all?

I know the forum is a dictatorship but I thought a democratic vote might be interesting.

I like you Shaun, but come on mate. Just don’t read them.

9/10 posts and topics on this forum I don’t even read.

We are all friends here and idiot posts soon get called out anyway, so I don't see the need for any moderation. Respect and decorum should be present in every post we make anyway, ideally.

I'd guess we've all been on forum's with heavy handed moderators banning left right and center, this forum seems to run fine to me. I see no reason to start adding rules or lumbering Dallas with having to implement them too, surely he's busy enough as it is.

I'm not a fan of some of the, shall we say 'right wing' , recent posts but all credit to the forum they haven't spilled over into other threads or gotten abusive. I guess like seahorse says you're not obliged to comment on or even read every post.

I used to disagree with spreadbetting a lot. But, he is by far probably one of the most reasonable posters here and always speaks his mind being able to move forward with out stringing anything out.

As long as the stay in their current topics i see no harm.

He’s got a good point here and the posts generally stay in their own topics.

Ahhh ditto really, nothing but love for most of what you say away from the taboo subjects.

It's not really about my sensitivities, I'm old enough not to be shocked any more, it's the whole social media behavior issue and if it should be the Wild West or a gentleman's club.

I agree with the comments about no moderation. I'm torn between the two.

Happy to accept the democratic will of the people even if it's 51.8% to 48.2% ;)

There is very little point in banning people these days.

Anyone with half a braincell can create a new username, email and IP address.

It wasn't about people. Everyone is decent and helpful and interesting and I'd ban NOBODY. No issues there. It was about content.

Enjoying these comments btw, I'm always as happy to be proved wrong as right. No man is an island as the quote goes.

I'm not overly keen on forum rules, I just have an issue with certain groups of people being alienated when they should be welcome to the forum if they wished to join.

Some things are sacrosanct, like HP sauce.

They should leave the name alone.

If sales have dipped then lower the price.
