Pele sadly passes away at the age of 82
RIP
Pele RIP
The 1970 Brazil team was jam-packed with talent and a style of football we'd never seen. Felix, Carlos Alberto, Jairzhino, Tostau, Rivelino.
But it was Pele that lit everthing up. A privilege to have watched his genius even via scratchy satellite broadcasts of the time.

Pele is clearly a great
but the GOAT argument is unanswerable and unfathomable, how can anyone ever know? advances in medicine, diet, tactics, grass management/drainage and many other things. For all I know Dixie Dean could be the greatest centre forward who ever walked this earth.

Vivienne.
I hadn't even heard of her before yesterday. The founder of the punk fashion, despite passing on the same day as Pele, she's still getting a lot of coverage on the news.
here’s the home shirt, the away shirt is still in process..

I played from 35 to 52ish and the selfishness of strikers was very obvious. But chat to them over a beer and the consistent theme is "I'm the best option for putting the ball in the net". So it's not entirely selfish, there is a team-player element to it. But Pele set the standard and there have been others that are missing from your list. Puskas, Dixie Dean, Jimmy Greaves. Not as hat-trick scorers, but definitely as prolific strikers.
