They can do more or less what they want now with access to everyone's accounts across all operators. To think that they'll only share data if your signed up to Gamstop is slightly niave IMO. Operators have behaved with impunity for years and now they have been given the golden ticket.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 11:20 pmI've been barred from every bookie including Bet365 and Paddy Power, but I can't see how they can push the button if you haven't bet with them for several years and your account was in profit. Surely they have to put forward some figures. Betfair, which is owned by PP won't want winners banned and loss of income could be high enough for several legal actions.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 10:36 pmFrom what I can see Gamstop covers just about every operator Entain, Flutter, 365 etc and there are all taking part in the trial.
I have absolutely no doubt it'll be abused by operators to weed out winners even more so if your banned or restricted by 365 for example you can bet your bottom dollar you'll be banned/restricted by them all very soon.
The beginning of the end by the looks of it the game appears to be up
Problem is going forward you can't ban/restrict people from sportsbooks and say it's fine to carry on betting on an exchange. Gamstop won't differentiate as there an anti-gambling organisation.
Hopefully the gambling community will come out in force and repel SCV and that's all it'll be a 12 week trial.
