Greened up many times in automation np.
However sometimes it greens up and later the green on every horse (the field) is far higher only to find 5, 10 seconds later some horses are in red
Is there a close trade on market option ?

Sounds like your talking about IR?
If so are you aware that Betfair impose a delay on all in-running bets including greening up / closing trades?

Spot on Dallas it is IR
But for eg greened up £2 in automation and only wanted £2 so why when green accepted have to wait 10secs later field maybe £12 green and end up in loss

Because of the in-play delay the odds could of moved considerably from where they were triggered, which could mean you get better but not quiet equal green figures if the odds continue to move in your favour, or unmatched bets if they reverse and move against you.

Hence its always a good idea to trigger green ups at least 3 times with a 2-3sec re-arm, that will increase your chances of getting a equal P/L on all runners

Therefore if 1st greenup is matched<SEE OP>can 2nd green up possibly put you in a losing situation. Due to delays

Not if you ensure you use at least a 2-3 sec re-arm time as any unmatched part of the 1st green up is cancelled when the 2nd triggers (and will be gone from the market before the 2nd arrives)

I understand some of the complexities involved you have explained Dallas and thank you for that.
Maybe cash out button in automation would simplify things
Not a cash out button that needs triggered x amount of times

Cash out/Green up both mean the same thing but regardless of what you call it for the reasons above its impossible to guarantee it will exit your position in 1 go
