Has to be LT as new PM. All female cabinet. :D
She said she has 100% confidence in the incompetent lying git, which will make a few Johnson haters turn away.
Yes but she can have a place in my bunker any day of the week and twice on a Sunday. 🤠
Yeah, despite being as old as I am and a Tory, I've got a thing about Liz. :)

It's a shame Rory Stewart left politics. He was the only Tory candidate that impressed me during the last selection process. Seemed a man of genuine integrity.

YouGov polling of 700 Torys shows that in a head to head, Ben Wallace wins every time against any other candidate. Currently at 4.5.

Think that was to step in as interim leader?

Never even heard of him before but imagine how different the last two years would have been if we had a serious PM like him.

Ben Wallace is yet to throw his hat into the ring. Surely it's a given?

We can’t have a PM who is 4’ nothing.

Every time I hear his name mentioned or see him to interviews again I just think of that phase he used in the last leadership election

When you consider what the torys will be thinking of now including someone to win the next election I think the following three criteria will apply

Be a Brexiteer
Cut taxes
and someone very similar to Kier ie, not an overly charismatic figure but someone who is quite 'boring' but 'safe' and creditable

Steve Baker was one of BJ's strongest supporters in 2019 but he put his letter of no confidence way back on 31st March 2021 so was several months ahead of everyone else calling for him to go including the opposition.
He ticks those three boxes and also appears to be very meticulous and forensic but he's not really rated by the tory membership
