Do you think anyone/group would go so far as to buy/rent a house located next to a racetrack, just to take full advantage of courtsiding—assuming that's what it's called at a racetrack?ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 12:01 amSome people make a lot of effort to make an easy living. Transition from Flat to Non-Flat Trading: Seeking Guidance :-)
Years ago people use to book themselves in a hotel (think it was a premier inn or travel lodge) which overlooks Wolverhampton race course.Diggy1884 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 8:50 pmDo you think anyone/group would go so far as to buy/rent a house located next to a racetrack, just to take full advantage of courtsiding—assuming that's what it's called at a racetrack?ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 12:01 amSome people make a lot of effort to make an easy living. But I doubt anyone will have gone as far as renting a house to do it especially given the number of meetings held at most courses is only a handful each year as you don't gain any advantage over those trading on course or have a cheap drone hovering on the outskirts

Dallas is right, there just isn't enough money in it to make that worthwhile. People couldn't even justify £20 a race when TPD first came out and that was a huge advantage over the tv.
But why rent a house when you can be in the grandstand with two buttons in your pocket or your shoes?
I'd guess a house with a track view, to rent, would be hard to find or ridiculously expensive. I had an uncle with a penthouse overlooking Ascot (long since dead) and you'd need to make an absolute fortune to rent something similar.
