Hi,

I watched Peters video on understanding volatility but can't figure out the graph posted in it at the 6min 55sec mark as the axes aren't assigned.
I have attached a screenshot.

Can someone help me out with an explanation?

Thank you

I'd have to find the original spreadsheet to check.

But the X axis will almost certainly be ticks or percentage movement.

Would be great if you could find the original and put me out of my misery.

Many thanks

Did you get a chance to check the spreadsheet for clarification ?

Odds 1.5 - 3.0 has the widest volatility then if I'm understanding it right

I wonder how this is measured. If it is starting price and this ticks go either side, or thats the total amount of deviation.

And also whether just £1 got matched at that amount. A few important unknowns

your welcome tried this once ie using a baf file to accept odds in the 99.6% to 99.7% 5 ticks range and 98.7% to 99.4% 10 ticks range same race .

It's rare to find joint winners in horse races .a photo finish almost always ensure there is one declared a winner.
Meaning all your lay bets regardless of where you place them outside the current available price ,shall get matched .
Except for that one winner that storms off and lead the field all the way .
As for your back bets , the closer you are to the middle of the field 2.0.. the higher your chance of getting matched. , reason being the competitive nature of low priced selections. Fill rates will be determined by your stake size , liquidity and where you place your bet (asking or taking prices) considering the in-play delays .
