Podcast can be a touch dry, but it does explain the PC 'problem'.
New Premium Charge on the way
That's quite a tough listen! - the guy has one of the most boring voices I've ever heard on a podcastmegarain wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 7:00 amhttps://soundcloud.com/matthew-trenhaile

They returned today to charge the premium charges
Thank you for linking to that, I had never heard of that podcast. It was a long (I could have skipped the first 30 minutes or so as wasn't to do with the PC) but interesting listen that gave quite a different take on the PC to what I have heard before also interesting to hear about some of the names mentioned which starts to give you an idea of the size and scale of some of the market participants such as Zeljko Ranogajec. I read on 'the spookiest thing' thread a post by ShaunWhite that said Peter had recently said he had made more money than anyone else ever has on horse markets so I was surprised to not hear Peter mentioned at all in the podcast.megarain wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 7:00 amhttps://soundcloud.com/matthew-trenhaile

Don't think so, this is what Shaun said (the underlining is Shaun''s):

You're telling me, I skipped the first 30 minutes as per PDC's advice and it just droned on and on, I gave up at 56 minutes.LeTiss wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 8:46 amThat's quite a tough listen! - the guy has one of the most boring voices I've ever heard on a podcastmegarain wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 7:00 amhttps://soundcloud.com/matthew-trenhaile

Yeah, I saw the Twitter post as well. Full text attached. There’s not much other context to go with it.PDC wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 4:20 pmDon't think so, this is what Shaun said (the underlining is Shaun''s):

I’d obviously challenge Peter on the “profit” statement. Either it was a mistake, or he needs to qualify that statement somehow. Otherwise he’s misleading people, or doesn’t know anything about the industry (doubt it!).

I'm out of town and just dipped in and found a "Shaun said....."
Before the messager gets any flack, let's remember that people tweet things because they want the world to read it. I don't know for sure because I don't twit or twat or whatever you call it. I refered to it being wreckless re:security, but the more I read it the more 'Trumpy' is sounds tbh.
I've tried to find a reasonable explanation...... If not cash, then maybe it means "staking and profiting more (psychologically and emotionally)....." ? But that would have been a bizzare non sequitur and finding that meaning is charitable.
I think it would be a good idea to qualify it though, I can't read minds and it's not my place to defend it. But it seems that without hunting for a hidden meaning the uninformed will believe it, and the informed will think he's bvllshitting, and that can stick. I'm sure neither consequence was intended. Maybe he just hit Send half way through an edit? Hijacked account? Very very drunk? 'Misspoke'? Taken the wrong tablets?

I believe that if there would be anybody that's is as successful on HR markets than he would come up on surface. And nobody is doing that. And that's is where Peter's guess is coming from. "staked and profited" that's ~200k markets and a few billions in turnover and 18years. But if you want to challenge p&l statement than you'd have to find somebody's P&l or turnover as reference point.xitian wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 11:34 pmYeah, I saw the Twitter post as well. The majority of people playing the markets are very secretive as to what they do, you certainly won't find them surfacing to post their pnl's as they've nothing for sale or to gain by doing so. That's not having a dig at Peter btw but obviously he has Betangel to promote so you'd expect a few pnl shots every so often to keep sales up.gutuami wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 8:59 am

Too many people talk a good story but run a mile when asked to give any evidence that they actually do it. I thought Bet Angel was a unique opportunity to show somebody actually confident enough in their tools and method to actually do it themselves.
I always feel obliged to post because there are so many bullshitters out there. I just want to show that my balls are on the line, the same as my customers.
