How important is tv viewing while trading?

How important do people feel is viewing the racing channels on tv while trading, i havent got access to a tv as yet while i trade and, although my results arent bad they are nt spectacular either. How do people feel about having access to the live racing while trading?

One reason alone is this:

"The average UK race actually starts well over a minute after the scheduled off time. Last week UK races in total over ran by 289 minutes (Wednesday 5th August to Tuesday 11th August inclusive.) That's nearly 5 hours of extra trading time!"

What tv channel(s) are most appropriate and are people watching via Sky, etc. or streaming on the net?

If I watch tv while trading I use Racing UK

I find it can be as much as a distraction as a help sometimes but it is good for knowing when you can trade past the scheduled off time.
