Was sat in the garden last night with the missus discussing on a personal level what our proudest achievement was, for me, (so far) it’s winning an employment tribunal where I did all the ground work myself & attended the hearing unrepresented, won over £6k & got the cheque same day, if memory serves the hearing lasted less than an hour

Flooring the school bully with a left uppercut when I Was 13 is without doubt my proudest achievement 8-)

Other things I've done in life have been far more important but none have given me more satisfaction when I look back

to be fair Pat it was such a stressful time, I was so adamant I would win, to give some background I was manager of a family run TV Rental company, whilst on hols on Greece with the missus some oik absconded with some expensive equipment & in my absence whilst out of the county was deemed a scapegoat, the MD handed me a note on my first day back in confirming I got fired, basically there was no correct procedure in investigating the issue & I got him on unfair dismissal, drove home from Leicester with the biggest smile in my face ever

Sounds like it was pretty routine case, not sure how you could be blamed when you weren't even in the country unless you left the doors wide open when you finished your last shift before your hols!

Majestrate?

It always baffles me when people say where they work but not what they do. I use to know somebody with a clerical job with the RAF who expected girls to be weak at the knees when he told them he was in the RAF!

before I went on leave I chased the debtor & left the matter in the “capable hands” of the MD’s daughter in law.. I reckon you can guess the rest?

yeah, bit sad really as the MD passed on only in Jan, he was a bit of a tyrant but a generous bloke with it, knew how to make money but was set in his ways
