connecting an excel sheet in guardian issues

hi im trying to open up the multiple excel aworkbook in guardian following the video peter webb has in the how to guide
i can connect the single sheet without using guardian but i get an error message when i try to connect the multiple sheet in guardian
is there a fix for this
