I know Peter Webb knows Warren Buffet - but I didn't think Peter would be so kind as to put in a good word for me. ;)

Really? Well how about another favour, want to adopt me so that you can teach me all your 'tricks?' - I'm 61 years old, so as my 'adopted Father', we'd certainly make the news! :D

Wow. How many idiots will respond. I bet a few.
I know of one! It's not stupidity that makes people fall for things like that, it's being overcome by greed and excitement.

WTF can't tennis tournaments give a rough indication of when a match will start, instead of knocking back the start time 10 minutes, every 10 minutes, for a whole 2 hours?

There is a big difference between;

Helping your Uncle Jack, off a horse.

...and...

Helping your Uncle, jack off a horse.
Indeed :o

Cooked a roast pork joint, with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, Yorkshire pudding, mint sauce & gravy. And now I don't have time to eat it!!
I'll bite

What are you doing cooking that sort of thing in the middle of the night? I thought, I was the only one that weird ;)

You don't have time to eat it, but find the time to post in this thread?

Actually post twice!

And a third time in the Aussie racing thread!

I'd venture that time isn't your issue, but your prioritizing of it ;) You are allowed to close down this world wide web thing for a few hours, and dare I say miss a race or two
You remind me of my teenage daughter,,, she is on her phone and facebook every waking minute posting what shes eating,,, whats shes watching,,, where shes going,,, where shes been
not even 8am and you have posted nearly 20 times today already,,, how do you find the time to trade?,,
I only post what I'm eating if it's trading related, in this case, clashing with Randwick, which required a rant to get it out of my system. :)

8 am is the end of the day for me, but I sometimes trade just one meeting which leaves gaps between races to look at the forum.

I hope you've seen the Dave Allen standup episode (in one of his later series) that was all about the telephone.

I've searched the internet for it and can't find the full episode - very funny show in the pre-internet age, about the telephone, it's consequences on modern life, and how teenagers use it. :)

Here's just a clip I found.

My flipping neighbour, nice enough lad, but he's just bought a new musical instrument!!!

Not sure what it is as he's playing it over a backing track, but I'm now having to listen to the same flipping tune for hours on end!!!

lol, reminds me of a flat I had once and a guy moved in next door who played the trumpet, after one session of him playing the same piece over and over again I tried to gently bring up the subject the next day by saying "You're starting to get good on that trumpet", the reply was "I should be, I've been playing it in an orchestra for 25 yrs"...... oops, it was a bloody racket though and just the 2nd trumpet part from a symphony does sound a bit random.
