Help with Unmatched Bets Condition please

I want to set up an automation rule where a bet if fired on any selection that meets certain other conditions but only if there is no other bet of the same type unmatched on the same selection. For example, place a Lay bet on RunnerA if, and only if, there is no unmatched Lay bet outstanding on RunnerA ... any unmatched Back bets on RunnerA would be irrelevant and any unmatched bets of any type on any other runner would also be irrelevant.

I would also like to run the same Condition for Back bets so the rule set would fire a Back and/or Lay bet when this (and other) Conditions are met.

I suspect it could be possible with Signals but have to confess I can never get Signals to work! They just don't behave in the way I expect them to and there is little 'debugging' help for rule sets making it difficult to correct the coding error. It's clearly me not fully coming to terms with the way Signals work, a more detailed help note might be useful to some like me.

So basically if laying you want 0 unmatched lays on the selection
or if backing 0 unmatched back bets on the selection?

Have you read the step by step example thread on signals? If so can you be more precise on what part you are struggling with?

Would Singals be the solution or can a combination of Conditions etc. do it?

You can do it using an 'Unmatched Bets amount condition' on both your back & lay rule

ie, on your lay rule just set this to;

Unmatched lay bets
On selection
is equal to £0
