Is there a particular method I should be using to automatically close trades and update with a new price from a spreadsheet when it occurs?

I think your question is vague. You can use CLOSE_TRADE command on spreadsheet to do just that for individual runners. Without regards to updating prices if you have BA connected to BA template spreasheet then it updates prices constantly anyway.

So if this doesn't answer your question then you might want to reframe your question.

Just to verify please. So the CLOSE_TRADE command saves the settings that we had configure, correct?
