So I am trying to get a feel for what liquidity is in play on horse racing.

I wonder if anyone has a rough guide for pre race versus in play trading so if £500 stakes cant be matched pre race what could be matched in play etc.

In-running does about 20% of pre-off and most of that is focused on the final run-in. So stake size is often tiny compared to pre-off.

Thanks that helps, gives me a guide to start with. The rest I guess will be to increase stakes gradually until I get a feel of what I can get through the market.
