Massive stakes on Baie des Iles at the end there.
Well done not many left on 100% and hopefully today may even of thinned out a few more for you.sionascaig wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 5:05 pmCheers Euler, you saved my day... 21 out of 21 markets now )
Was really struggling with the national though....
I know someone who had already scalped a profit yesterday on the National then seen BF's flimsy T&C's this morning where bets have to be placed on the day of the race so had to get at least a scratch through this morning

TBH I'm not 100% sure how to interpret that part, he just didn't want to take any chancessionascaig wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 5:45 pmHorlicks - didn't know that!Dallas wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 5:36 pmWell done not many left on 100% and hopefully today may even of thinned out a few more for you.sionascaig wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 5:05 pm

I've known far worse than 152.8% for bookies. The place underround is to some extent mitigated by the fact that there may not be four finishers.spreadbetting wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 6:56 pmThe Bookies SP returned at a generous 152.82% compared to Betfair's 102.32%, come racing, Betfair's place book was underround at 381%

This isn't some 4 runner novice chase , Derek, I don't think you'll find people throwing away 20% of the book on the chance 37 runners fail to complete the course:)
I said to some extent!spreadbetting wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 7:18 pm

The amount of money available to back would also be significant. The overround is often distorted by £2 bets.

50% isn't a bad markup on a product these days considering there were so many staff on today, and it was promoted quite well which the industry needed. Expect there'll be a 300% markup on dinner tonight, but then again you're paying for more than just the potatoes.
