It slowly dawning on me I may need to look for a job.
Adapting to new opportunities will be key. Learn or re-learn on-line poker could be one area. Swathes of live cardroom poker players are hunkering down as the casinos close, so the numbers will be there.

Poker has certain attributes that trading has, so many skills are transferable.

If anyone fancies playing around, this is the poker bot framework I used many years ago. All open source
In fact, I'm surprised it's still going

It takes a bit of work but was making serious money with this about 17 years ago. However, unlike BF, the poker sites WILL ban you for botting. You need to get a little creative - we used a rootkit back in the day. Paid for "working" bots are obviously useless - no-one is going to sell a winner.

I might take another look, just for old times sake

They just want to slow down the spread, delay and reduce the peak. Things should start to return to normal after enough people have been infected and recovered.

yeah, it's gonna be tough. also, premiums and additional smallprint on new policies will make things a lot tougher moving fwd. not a business for the faint hearted, the good times (for insurance) ended in 2020 - in hindsight!!

that will a long time, if really majority of people in england get it and at least 5% need extensive care how long you think they will need to "flatten the curve" to deal with at least 2 million people in hospitals?
