Does anyone have any data that can predict how much volume is likely to occur pre race in different types of conditions (i.e. by race class, type, odds size, day, course etc.) I'm also looking to map average volatility by race type and when volume arrives.
I know I can find all this using fracsoft but I was wondering if anyone had a summary that could be used to map what could be expected from races? I know these are big questions so if anyone has these kind of things mapped out and could save me the time of doing the research myself I'd be happy to pay.
PM me if interested

Peter tells you how to do this on his course!
I attended the course about a year ago and Peter definitley included quite detailed formulae for working out the volume - I remember it quite well as at that stage of my trading career I wondered how I would manage to fit the time for those calculations into my already hectic schedule from just trading.

One way is to look at similar meetings from last year. http://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/prices/. Of course it depends on favorite, odds, prize money, etc but a rough estimation on the day you could get. For example yesterday through out an 1.01 looser. And last year's similar day which was 17.09.2008 did the same. ??????

and if you're using Excel (rather than Access) than create a new file click DATA>Import external data>Import Data>yourfile.csv {set comma as a delimiter}
cheers
