I'm just waiting for a scorching hot day so I can take a break and spend the afternoon and evening sitting in a pub garden and enjoy some sunshine. Forecast keeps looking promising but it never materialises.

Don't worry about it, everyone has their own view of the decline of liquidity on the exchange but the reality is only Betfair know for sure. I've thought liquidity's been dropping more for the in-running markets especially place markets which are becoming almost pointless these days. The trouble is X-matching takes such a big portion of the pot at source it never actually reaches the exchange just gets matched on the server as it enters. I'd imagine it gets added to the matched volumes but looking at market activity it does seem to appear liquidity is dropping both pre off and IR.
