I did feel a little like the wild west out there on Friday with some huge market fluctuations.

It's certainly been an interesting few days as a newbie. My first day was like a genteel trip to the garden centre. Days since then seem to have been like trips to a wild west saloon bar which have become increasingly rowdy as the weekend approached. I have seen some very wild and unexpected market behaviour that I never noticed in practice mode. Those Irish markets are very interesting. Fortunately I got off lightly while gaining some valuable experience and lessons.

I've made some easy money scalping early Newmarket, but I stop 20 minutes before off-time, and expect the graphs to fly.

It has hardly lagged for me just the big race at Newm but that's expected these days.

I thought I'd stop at Kempton on my way to USA. Was a well fancied runner in the 6f handicap.

Did really well on the 20:45 Kempton - it's been abandoned. :!:

Just heard the news on AtTheRaces of a serious accident in the stable. With hindsight, I shouldn't be annoyed about my trading profit - I just hope everybody concerned is OK.

I didn't bother with the evening card having been up since 4am! Doesn't sound great.

I had a tenner on this one at 8 with the intention of moving it down when the lay bet got matched, but somebody was happy to lay at 8 !
