I would have backed at about 2.5 on that one
Funny you say that. I did back 2.5, but my reasons for doing so degraded to such an extent it quickly became a lay.

I didnt see the race but that first at Plumpton must have been a VERY close finish.. :o
I thought Id post a screen shot I took in case anyone is considering a shot at automation..(this is using £4 liability stakes) with a twist
Now this isnt a big win as such, but I recon that if I had got one more match on clondaw, it would have a big win (by my standards anyway!)
I didnt post it to show the small winning amout, but to show how automation is perfect for recycling profits back into the market looking for a big payoff with relatively low risks
It actually surprised me reading through the log!
Was this in excel peter? I can't see how I can calculate the current profit on a runner to recycle it into the market with guardian. Maybe setup rules at different green totals?

Thx
Sam

I just thought I'd mention that the post you're replying to is 20 months old.

Yesterday 7 of 8 favs priced <2.5 with 7mins to go shortened up to post (the one that didn't shorten drifted just 2 ticks)

Total number of ticks the other 7 favs shortened was 137 (avg 20 ticks per race)

Is this anything to do with cross-matching ?

I've got a juicy free bet on it - the only problem is that it's not gonna win.

Nice 20-tick reversal on the favourite.

Lively markets today. I've just laid Abraj Dubai (14:45 Southwell) at 5.9 and backed it at 6.4. Both bets were matched within my 400ms refresh rate.

I use 100ms on my manual trading and 20ms for all automation

I don't automate, I've tried 200ms for manual trading but I just find the speed disorientating - maybe I just need to get used to it.
