I wonder how many of us that trade greyhounds actually stop to think about the horrendous death rates amongs the dogs on and off the track.
There have been some awful stories over the last few years and The Greyhound Forum, which represents eight major dog charities, estimates that 3,700 of a total 9,000 retired greyhounds are ‘unaccounted for’ every year.

The powers that be just can’t seem to regulate the sport and put its house in order and maybe it is time to call an end to a “sport” that is in decline and disgrace the world over.

Similar promise of reform were made in NSW Australia to seemingly no avail .. and it looks like the beginning of the end for the sport over there.

It’s a sport I used to enjoy .. but not anymore, and don’t trade it

Hi Memphis, do you usually trade the same runner more than once in a race?

I see how track and grade can make a difference, but how does distance affect profitability? Or are you breaking that down just for the sake of your own curiosity.

I'm not looking for a huge explanation as I don't do dogs, but just wondered.

I think it's more down to the fact that distance data is provided in the Betting p&l file so easy to strip along with the grade and course more than anything , Shaun.
