"Tastefully understated" is not a phrase that springs to one's lips when discussing most of what happens in Sydney. The race itself will probably become quite a classic in time (say 25 or 30 years) but the way it has been handled reeks of the Sydney Push - throw money at it (usually ensuring that it is not your money!) talk it up and if anyone disagrees with you then shout them down. Remember that the more a Sydneysider calls you "mate" (or worse still "maaate") the less he likes you.

Anyway let's just see how the race goes on Saturday.

Quite . . . and many of its inhabitants have about the same level of credibility as the Wizard of Oz who ran the original Emerald City.

cheers

Won't be trading through the night but I'm looking forward to having a crack at the Everest in the morning, hope it goes well for you and anyone else trading them

I went to bed at half-nine, but perhaps due to the excitement of tonight's racing I couldn't sleep. :D

Some idiot keeps dumping a grand on Tactical Advantage knocking it down a few ticks - but it goes back up as regular as clockwork. :D

Picked up good results from a few warm-ups at Caul leading up to this so confidence is very high going into this now
