I really struggle with the logic of the person who's bot just about every race puts up huge lay stakes about 10 ticks below the last traded price from around the scheduled off time.

if the price approaches your once speculative bet, your, let's say 106% book, is no longer value on that selection [as it becomes a ~100% book again]

the higher book % you go the sloppier you can afford to be i.e. basic fat finger bots

I'm doing fine, nothing amazing but well worth the effort.

Made a few mistakes when switching from the big races to the small ones. But volumes seem to be rising on the smaller races, will have to dig around in the data to see if that's true.

You can buy them on eBay, no shortage of them.

If it were me with the resources you have at your disposal I would be booking myself on a plane for a fortnights time and getting a cap in person.
