I'm in north east, all my other devices were working. & suddenly I'm reconnected again.

Think I'll restore to factory settings, that' s a 6 hour job.

You should image your hard drive, which creates a carbon copy of it. It can take just 10-20 minutes to restore to full working order.

Would that not replicate any infection?

Yes, but not if you create an image while your computer's working fine. I image my OS hard drive immediately after installing Windows and again every month or so.

For once it seems the exchange is okay while the Sports Book and Live Video are having a lot of issues. Lets hope it doesn't spread to the exchange!

thanks. It seemed to be a bit sticky just before the last at newmarket went off, and on the strength of that i think i will knock the evening on the head and go to the pub ealier tonight.
