Yes stunning scenery, you'd give your right arm to live there. Looked nothing on the TV but there all going backwards 200m from the line

You need to be a special individual to tackle these monster stages never mind finish it. Pro cyclists are something else.

They are indeed special. The domestiques, the star rider, a climber, a sprinter.
So many races within a race.
It's a truly brutal event. But with the modern coverage it never ceases to amaze me.

I can't help wondering how much different it would have been had Pogacar still been in realistic contention

After what has been a great tour from the off it feels a bit of an anti climax that it was effectively settled in the least exciting way possible on a individual TT a few days before the end

Le Tour in a nutshell. So many challenges for the top GC contenders. Just a question of which challenge causes the unravelling.
As an aside I hadn't twigged that 2000m is comfortably into the zone where oxygen is less accessable.
I guess it's the same for them all, but gasping for breath is kind of a fundamental and they're racing. Incredible.

Unbelievable crowds on this last mountain stage. Don't think I've ever seen a mountain with so many people lined up it, great sight to see.

Not one for nostalgia hope Pidcock can get across to Pinout but looking unlikely the way Pinout is going at the mo.

Superb finish, great rides form the Yate's brothers. Bar the Cav crash it's been a brilliant tour for most of the British riders.

I know Pogacar has come up short but you have to doff your cap to him. The final stage and he's off the front from 40k out trying to rip the race to pieces.

He only knows one way to ride and it's on the attack, a proper bike racer.

TBH I sort of lost interest in it the day after the ITT once Vingegaard opened a several minute lead but up until then it was definitely one of the best races in years.

I guess all we done was started the racing from day 1 rather than around the rest day and finished a few before reaching Paris

It is great to see two fantastic cyclists (rather than a single rider/team dominating every race) who between them will hopefully create plenty of entertainment and gripping races in the coming years
