Having joined Betfair before the 00:00:01 - 01/05/2019.
Customers who take a Betfair Holiday at anytime in the month prior to the Cash Race commencing.
There's a few more reasons listed but they make more sense.
The 2 above are new and don't make sense to me.
Has anyone else been ruled ineligible for this cash race? I've taken part in all the previous ones.

Yep I'm ineligible too, looks like it's now only available to users who joined after May 2019. Typical of Betfair's mentality of sticking two fingers up to the long term users who helped the exchange grow in the first place.

I'm eligible, and weirdly I'm seeing a different wording than the above.tomallen123 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 10:22 am

Mine are listed as
Unfortunately the Cash Race is currently unavailable to you.
Please check the below reasons why this may be:
- Having joined Betfair before the 00:00:01 - 01/05/2019.
- You have chosen the BASIC plan as part of the Exchange pricing promotion.
- The country where your account is registered is ineligible.
- Customers who self-exclude.
- Customers who take a Betfair Holiday at anytime in the month prior to the Cash Race commencing.
- Customers who close and reopen their accounts 60 days prior to the Cash Race starting will be unable to join the Cash Race. Paddy Power/Betfair employees and Premium Account holders are unable to take part in the Cash Race.
The cash race has never got my blood pumping and the only time I ever hit my 2nd target was when I used to over-stake and inadvertently take bigger risks.

Have spoken to a couple of people with old betfair accounts and both of them are eligible for the cash race.
I'm currently on a betfair points holiday so possible that is the reason why I'm getting the message.
Not sure why using a points holiday should matter with regards to the cash race.
Have been on chat and raised the issue, they are going to email me back.

The weird thing is though I'm eligible, I'm in effect not. The targets are not set from an average of commission over a longer period, but rather where you max out in a short burst - in my case at least. Like most traders, I would suspect, my commission is pretty even over time. But two things give spikes.
I do a fair bit of betting also. Mostly small-ball compared to the trading, but there's maybe 15-20 times a year, where I have good enough info to really go after the value, and about a quarter of those, I get the best value on the exchange.
And then there's outages, where open trades are forced to run, even if fully or partially hedged elsewhere.
My cash race targets are clearly set after weeks where there's been value on select spots, coinciding with multiple outages.
I need BF to cock up mightily in the coming weeks to stand a chance to get anything from a campaign, they set up to give their customers value. Maybe Webster could use that under irony
Cooooooomeeeeeee ooooooooooonnnnnnnn outages. I want my target bonus

Betfair seem to be a law unto themselves these days, only thing that fits me is the joining before May 2019.
I'm a higher rate PC payer but always been eligible before and as far as I'm aware simply paying PC doesn't make you a Premium Account holder. I've never been told I am and certainly get no benefit from it. I'd imagine they've barred me because I usually get the top prize simply by churning x-markets.
