I'm not sure why it is exactly but something about Rory Stewart's campaign so far make me think he could do well

Boris won't drift much unless he has a shocker in tonight's debate.

The membership is much more Pro-Brexit (and more right wing) than the current set of Tory MPs. I can see Stewart getting 2nd place because the others (apart from Boris) are much of a muchness in terms of policy.

The only risk for Boris is that there isn't a live audience for him to play for laughs. If he plays the comedian and the others point out that it's no f-kin joking matter, they might might sow some seeds of doubt. If he wants to be the class clown, then they should make him look like one because they can't attack his proposals when most just want to do the same anyway.

That was more or less my thought process behind it.
@1.17 I couldn't see him shortening any further anytime soon (unless everyone suddenly pulled out), so based it on fairly risk-free trade with a potential of a brief upswing if he says or does something daft.

Having him hid away has obviously lowered the chances slightly :x

Recording Tory Leader debate - watching Italy v Brazil Womens World Cup.
That''s my priority.
