40-0 to 40-G is bound to have an effect here you'd think

12 points in a row now to Sabalenka

Sabalenka is possibly the most annoying screamer of the lot.
It's very unsporting.

Don't think anyone comes close to what Azarenka used to be like with that tremor/echo like scream

TBH I don't mind players emiiting an explosive grunt on impact. That's kind of reasonable but I have played sport and the cjhances of getting away with that kind of vocal agression with a gnarly brickie on the confined space of a squash court is just about zero.
Zabalenka extends the scream to it's limit and I am convinced it is a pychological tactic. And it's not fair and should be stopped.
Just hit the flipping ball, forget projecting your agression, and trying to signal the timing of your shot to your advantage.
Sorry, it's been a bugbear of mine for yonks. I'll shut up now. :-)

"Unsporting" is fine in the amateur game but when it's serious then rules are rules. If it doesn't say you can't blow an air horn then blow one  Gamesmanship is part of the game.

I can't disagree in principal though greenmark, it's unnecessary and the umpire should have a word. And using the physics/conservation of energy thing it's actually wasted energy to convert that effort into sound :D.

Indeed. And I understand it's a feature that here to stay. Just winds me up a bit. Well, ok a lot. :-)

I traded out my Medvedev pre off lay after first set for a loss. Oops...

The joy for every Eubanks winner is raucous. There may be poiltics at play here, but Eubanks (and this is the first time I've seen him) is playing some really great emphatic shots that aren't suggested by his ranking.

I think it's because it's such a great story.

He is playing like he has nothing to lose. But the moment he thinks that it will swing back to Medvedev.

He actually did a good job of getting them on side against Norrie in an early round
Really played to them and they were happy to reciprocate

Where has he been? 27 and rocket serves and groundstrokes to dream of.
But I can see his shoulder drops just a little sometimes and "splat" it's either in the net or goes long.
