13mins added

If this goes in to extra time this is now effectively the start of the 3rd half of 45mins

Rats! Spain were the better team, even with the histrionics at the end.

It wouldn't have been good to win it, making it look too easy would probably have reduced the cash and effort being thrown at it.

I thought it was interesting they played a tune by Farruko on the PA when Spain won, that tune had been on the radio all summer and I've been saying it sounded like a football theme/anthem.... Turns out it was. :)

Spain were technically superior. The better side won.

And as for all this rubbish about equal pay, we’ll that’s never going to happen in 100 years.

We should give the Lionesses great credit. 2nd in the world is pretty good.
I love their passing game. They just need more creativity in midfield and better attack. But the foundation is there and inspiration for girls to play footy is key and they've done that.
They can roar with pride IMO.

So sad that Olga Carmona's father died before the match. She wasn't informed until after the match and he didn't live to see her lift the trophy.

Spain did deserve to win and England can certainly be proud of the way they've played throughout the tournament

But it would be nice if just for once it could be us

Spain deserved to win as the better team but I think the Lionesses gifted the win with so many unforced errors (passing accuracy). Shame because having watch the knockout games I know they can be better than that.

well done spain .. no shame for the lionesses they did great pity the shot that hit the cross bar hadnt gone in , they played better 2nd half after changes made.. there does need be a look into how penalties are awarded .
should be arms raised not when lowered and unintentional ... great save !!
