I was looking at this game after the first innings thinking there wasn't much to do. Now it's turned into some decent trading. It's always amazing how quickly a cricket match can swing

Edit:
Had a nice nibble

The volumes we've seen are stunning, this India Afghanistan encounter is not a brilliant trading game but before 1/2 way we've already seen 126 Million matched.

India's run rate is almost 10, so they should chase down this 272 from the Afghans pretty easily.

Outside the match odds markets which other ones tend to attract the most volume and be popular?

If there is rain around then the completed match market will be pretty huge. And a great opportunity to bet against weathermen…

The other market which is huge is the 50 over runs line. It works a bit differently from your typical Betfair market as instead of backing/laying at a price set by the exchange, you are backing/laying overs or unders on how many runs you think will be scored in 50 overs (or in smaller increments throughout the match) and winning/losing at evens.

The perfect scenario is creating a middle, backing over 290.5 runs and backing under 300.5 runs, with the total number of runs coming in at 291-300 therefore doubling your stake and if it comes outside that middle, you don’t lose anything. You have to be cautious of court siders though, they are very rapid.

I don't do side markets but when I've looked they are usually barren and growing tumbleweed.

I had a browse of side markets this morning and for such a large match odds market, the secondary markets are tiny. Can any Cricket specialists indicate why?

Looks to me like it's mainly the match odds, current over line market and the 50 over line markets that attract most of liquidity.
