SP of unmatched bets at inplay - In my rule not working

You need to change the status of your unmatched bets to 'TakeSp' before the start of the race
You also need to stake above the minimum for sp bets. (£2 back stake or £10 lay liability)

Any tips for ways to calculate a lay stake when placing lay bets @ SP which could be <2.0.
ie. I've a nominated selection and want to lay for £10 fixed amount. If BSP is 1.5 however, the liability is only £5 and therefore wouldn't place?
There may be plenty of other runners where the BSP is 3.5 and so applying a bigger fixed stake to cover the example above isn't the answer... This one's eating me up, I considered getting ultra complex and taking a projected SP to calculate a stake etc.... But figured there must be an easier way!
