An outstanding sprinter in his own right, it was good to see Hay List get his moment in the sun yesterday.

If not for Black Caviar we would be hailing him as a champion. Minus Black Caviar his record would now read 22 starts for 19 wins.

The Newmarket attracted nearly a capacity field yesterday and the three horses who filled the placings finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th behind the great mare at their previous start.
