Football’s turn for an ouch!
Posted by Peter Webb in Bet Angel on November 6th, 2010
Bolton score against Spurs, so you would expect the odds to move a bit. However, you wouldn’t expect Spurs to get backed into 1.59; but that’s what happened! I suspect somebody sorted the odds in the wrong order or just had the wrong selection up some how and back heavily on the goal.
Bolton won 4-2 so no get out of jail card was served on this occasion. £77,809 was matched at 1.59.

Fat fingers crucify punter

I see lots of strange things in the markets but few stranger than what happened just a moment ago at Newbury. While I realise we all, in some way, take money of each other now and again. I feel a great deal of sympathy for what they did, we all screw up from time to time. I can’t imagine how they felt after this error.
The long and short of it is that they backed a 400/1 shot down to only 1.08, with significant amounts of money. All this occured before the off. Why, is anybodies guess. But you feel it could be a bot error. There is a discussion on the forum, but here is an image I took quickly after this happened.
It’s going to take some getting back I think.

Ouch!
Hustle

Was this a hustle or just a case of fat fingers? On Wednesday we saw another one of those odd moments when the price on something comes crashing in for no apparant reason. I posted up some examples on the blog before where I got something matched at tiny prices that should have been 1000. On this race we saw something matched at 10′s that really should have been 20′s, not just once but twice!
