Posting this, due to my hatred of Hills. They were the first company to ever ban me - over a £250 bet on a tennis match at Evens, just because everybody else had reduced their price to 1.72 before them

I will get the champagne out later. Yes, they are bastards! Think its acceptable to void bets after they have won!

Tip of the iceberg, been a long time since I've been in a bookies but I'm sure they'll still be fawning over the pensioners and unemployed punters as they're their bread and butter.
Yes, and all the poor sods who have serious gambling issues, and spend their dough on those FOBT'sspreadbetting wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 12:03 pmTip of the iceberg, been a long time since I've been in a bookies but I'm sure they'll still be fawning over the pensioners and unemployed punters as they're their bread and butter.

Most FOBT's are occupied by the local dealers cleaning their cash these days

I hate all bookmakers... there are very few that I am not restricted from and hills were one of the first to kill my account

I've had an issue with William Hill over a non-runner in the US that they refused to accept was a non-starter - it took three months for me to eventually convince them to refund my stake. But in fairness to WH, I've made more money out of them than any other bookie simply because they allowed me to consistently profit from there mistakes for several months on just moderately restricted stakes - longer than any other bookie.
Bet365 were the worst - they pulled the plug after just a few hundred quid!
When I was arbing all last year Hills were the bookie who allowed me to win the most before restrictions kicked in, about 5 K up something in that ballpark. none of the other 8 or so inc 365 Laddies allowed me to get anywhere near that figure so although I loath them I loath them less than I do all the others.
That's about twice as much as I got out of them.Emmson wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 12:59 amWhen I was arbing all last year Hills were the bookie who allowed me to win the most before restrictions kicked in, about 5 K up something in that ballpark. none of the other 8 or so inc 365 Laddies allowed me to get anywhere near that figure so although I loath them I loath them less than I do all the others.

All bookies are the same, they use their "bookmaking" platform to promote their casinos and fobts. They are not interest in anything else.
To back up my case this is a typical shop window display the day before the Cheltenham Festival.
We know what they really are;
