Is this worth playing any longer? Top teams just cant be bothered to put out a full side. Its just a farce.
Don't invest your money in Carling Cup. It is a joke for the top clubs. Today Chelsea and Liverpool did scandalous bad games against very poor opponents. It is time to see over the rules since the teams does not use their best players and/or don't care. By the way, dont complain anymore over rigged games in the third world, several of the english top teams in the Carling Cup are no way better than them. Shame on Chelsea and Liverpool among other teams.

Last night threw up some terrific trading opportunities with Premier Legaue clubs putting out second strings against highly motivated lower league opposition who were playing in their cup final.
Long may the competition continue!

yeah, the very big teams only seem to give a damn once they get to the semis and then they suddenly think it's a great idea (and play the first team).
imho it's the sponsorship thing that devalued the prestige of the comp (milk, rumblelows, worthington etc.).
if they called it The League Cup (sponsored by xxxxxx), like they do with the FA Cup, then it might get back some prestige. if they renamed the FA Cup that would become a joke comp too.
