Why Bet Angel Doesn’t Make Endorsements
Not a Review Site
We often get asked if we can make recommendations of products and services, but it’s something that’s really hard for us to do. Let us explain…
First up, our focus has always been on trading, strategy, and education – not on reviewing or endorsing products and services. We’re not a review site, and we don’t accept advertisements or paid placements. That means you can be confident that when you visit our blog, forum, or YouTube channel, you won’t be reading sponsored content dressed up as advice.
Why We Avoid Endorsements
It’s impossible for us to know, or carry out proper due diligence on, every service, tipster, product, or platform available in the betting and trading world. The industry is huge, constantly changing, and – if we’re honest – not always transparent.
A hard truth of this market is that most genuine “edges” are closely guarded. People who discover something that really works tend not to share it widely. As a result, many of the services on offer either don’t deliver what they claim or simply aren’t relevant to most traders. This makes it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to separate the legitimate from the questionable without significant investigation – something we can’t realistically do on behalf of everyone.
Interaction Doesn’t Equal Endorsement
Another point worth stressing is that just because we interact with somebody, it doesn’t mean we endorse them. Over the years, we’ve learnt the hard way that people often try to associate themselves with Bet Angel in order to gain publicity. Unfortunately, this has sometimes been done in bad faith, creating the false impression that we’ve recommended or approved a product or service when we haven’t.
This is exactly why we take such a firm stance: we do not endorse, and we do not make recommendations. That’s the best counter to a situation where people are trying to imply an endorsement.
The Importance of Personal Preference
Even if we were able to filter through every option, trading itself is highly personal. What works well for one trader may be entirely unsuitable for another, depending on their goals, risk appetite, and style. For example, some people prefer automated strategies, while others lean on manual trading or specialist markets.
That’s why we prefer to focus on what’s universally useful: learning how to trade on Betfair, understanding strategies, and using data effectively. These are the foundations that give you the best chance of long-term success, regardless of which tools or services you choose to use along the way.
A Better Source of Opinions: The Forum
If you’re looking for balanced views or feedback, our Bet Angel Forum is the best place to start. There you’ll find a wide range of opinions from traders with different levels of experience and varied approaches.
The strength of the forum is that you don’t just hear one voice – you get a cross-section of input from multiple people, which can help you form your own informed decision.
Why We Can’t Make Recommendations
The bottom line is simple: we can’t – and shouldn’t – make endorsements. The sheer variety of services out there, the fact that many aren’t necessarily legitimate, the risk of bad-faith associations, and the personal nature of trading all make it impossible to provide recommendations that are both fair and universally relevant.
Our role is to provide the best tools, education, and insights possible. We want to push you in the right direction, give you some thoughts, a good starting point and advice based on our years of experience.
Your role is to assess services and products for yourself, using resources like the forum to hear a range of perspectives. That way, you remain in control of your choices, and your trading journey stays aligned with your personal goals.
We hope that makes our position clear.
