It's peak season for Sports Trading

An age-old saying holds true for Betfair Trading at this time of year, and especially every two years. It is “Make hay while the sun shines.”

Soon the grass will turn to hay, signalling it’s peak trading season. Time to reap the rewards.

All About Execution

As we move towards mid-June each year we are treated to a plethora of sport action. We have the US Open Golf, followed by Royal Ascot, Then Wimbledon. Everything is firing on all cylinders.

Every other year we are treated to a major Football tournament, a major Cricket tournament and, well, you get the picture.

Opportunities abound now, so I’m pushing my limits to seize every chance. Everything else takes a back seat. It’s all about execution. My potential to achieve something decent is much higher in the summer than in winter.

My mantra? Work now, analyse later.

The big results often come now, and I don’t want to miss out. If you’re serious about trading, there’s no better time to be fully immersed in it.

No rest for the wicked

Rest can wait for the winter when sports are scarce and often cancelled.

Being active now might make you a bit unsocial in the summer, but my philosophy is to work hard now and enjoy the rewards later. I’ve learned from past mistakes to seize opportunities when they arise.

Reap the rewards while they’re available, then relax or plan your next big move knowing you gave it your all. When it’s cold, wet and half the sport is postponed or abandoned, I can sit back knowing that a decent day at the peak can cover a week off peak.

Newbie Alert: The Perfect Time to Experiment

f you’re a newbie, it’s an excellent time to experiment. With so many events happening, a little focus can lead to that long-awaited Eureka moment.

The abundance of opportunities lets you pick and choose your targets. I focus my energy on the best opportunities, letting the poor ones slide. It’s a luxury you don’t get in the winter.

Seasonality in Trading: Maximise Your Efforts During Peak Season

Of course, this post is all about seasonality and the message I am sending you is to put your full effort into the markets during the peak season in the markets you participate in. Plenty of time for R&R in the off season.

While it may require some social juggling, it’s worth it! When opportunties are thin on the ground later in the year, you won’t need to even think about it.

So I suggest you make hay while the sun shines. That’s what I’m doing and that’s my sole intention for this really busy period.
